"Stargazing in the Park" Public Outreach Event

As I told many of you recently, Elon is co-sponsoring "Stargazing in the Park" at Northeast Park (just north of Gibsonville) on Saturday, October 24th. This is a great public event and students last year had a lot of fun. This fall, Northeast Park is also having a "Haunted Trail" from 7:30 to 11:00 PM the same night. All student volunteers will get free tickets to the trail. If you are willing and able to come, please let me know by filling out this form sometime before class on Wednesday.

Since it is getting pretty close to the event, if you complete the form, I will create the PowerPoint for you and send it to Media Services. All you will need to do is pick it up, take it to Northeast Park, and present it to the public. There will be a planning meeting on Wednesday, October 21 at 8:00 PM in MCMI 207. For the event itself, we will meet at Northeast Park at 6:00 PM to set up telescopes and posters. Please let me know if you have any questions and enjoy what is left of Fall Break!
