Special Guest Lecture by Robert Kirshner

Tomorrow, astronomer Dr. Robert Kirshner will be speaking during my 12:15-1:25 PM class. Since he is famous for having discovered the nature of the accelerating universe, I am shuffling the Big Bang lecture to tomorrow. Please do the Hubble's Law and the Fate of the Universe self-guided tutorial on MasteringAstronomy before class tomorrow so that you will be ready to ask him some good questions. I have postponed Assignment 9 (and the subsequent assignments) to give you more time to do these tutorials. The updated schedule is posted on my website.

Students that are registered for the 10:50-12:00 PM class but want to see Dr. Kirshner are welcome to attend the later class. He will also be speaking at 7:30 PM in the LaRose Digital Theater in the Koury Business Center. See E-net for details.
