FINAL EXAM Mooney 202

[2] ENABLE BLACKBOARD

For most of the semester, we have been using:

http://facstaff.elon.edu/acrider/classes/phy102/

as the main website for this course. The fastest way to this site is to Google "crider astronomy". You can now click the "Enable Blackboard Sidebar" to pull up options for submitting papers, emailing the class, and checking your grades.

[3] TURNING IN PAPERS

The students running each class session (i.e. Moderates on Monday, Bellarmine on Wednesday, Prince Cesi on Friday, etc.) will need to decide on a time that papers are due before class and e-mail the other students to confirm this time. Papers must be turned in both to me (using the "Submit Papers to Dr. Crider" button) and to the class (using the "Post Paper for Other Students" button) on Blackboard.

[4] WEIGHT OF WRITING VS. SPEAKING FOR GALILEO GRADE

Please decide before Sunday night at midnight how you want your Galileo game to be calculated (e.g. 75% writing, 25% speaking) and fill out the form in the "Submit Papers to Dr. Crider" section of Blackboard. If you do not complete this before Sunday at midnight, I will use 50%/50% and you will not be able to change that.

[5] PAPER GRADING RUBRIC

The rubric that I will use to grade your Galileo papers is posted in the "Submit Papers to Dr. Crider" section of Blackboard.

[6] EMAIL TO GROUPS

You can now send e-mail to different factions in the class (or all of the factions) using the "Email Groups" button on Blackboard.

[7] FINAL MASTERINGASTRONOMY ASSIGNMENT

The short Assignment 12 that I posted on Blackboard to go with the Galileo material originally had an incorrect date (set for after the semester was over). After catching this, I reset it to Monday, April 27th.

Final MasteringAstronomy Assignment Posted

There is one last (short) MasteringAstronomy assignment posted related to the Trial of Galileo. I have extended the deadline to Monday the 27th, but would suggest that you do it before class tomorrow to help you prepare for your faction quiz.
