Coverage in the Blogosphere

Last week, I attended Cosmos in the Classroom 2007, a symposium for professors teaching Astronomy 101.  I was invited to present two workshops on astronomy education and used the time to teach my fellow educators about about Second Life.   Early in the workshop, Chris Impey (University of Arizona) delivered a great plenary talk on teaching technologies and focused heavily on Second Life. This served as a great introduction and advertisement for my own subsequent sessions.  Comments and details about this work popped up on the blogosphere in the days that followed.   Pamela L. Gay, from Astronomy Cast, gave a favorable review of the workshop.  Somewhat coincidentally, at the same time a nice article appeared on the New Scientist website describing the projects created at Arizona and at Elon.
