If That Mockingbird Don't Sing

While a graduate student at the Eastman School of Music in New York, Coleman collaborated with a filmmaker at the Rochester Institute of Technology, scoring the soundtrack for her 14 minute short film. The film's writer/director had lost her mother as a child and wanted to create a film that explored her memories, feelings, fears, symbols, and the lasting impact of her mother and the trauma of losing her at the beginning of the most formative time of her life.
