I
just finished teaching a Winter term course, Science
Fiction as Cultural Studies. This Spring term I am teaching
two new courses, The
Internet, Society & Cyberculture and Writing,
Rhetoric, and Interface Design. The last class is part of
a new Multimedia Authoring Minor, an interdisciplinary program
that draws on Computer Science, Digital Art, and Professional
Writing & Rhetoric.
My
current research interests include digital and information literacy
in freshman composition, usability theories as a meta-discourse
for rhetorical production, multimedia authoring, and wpa work
as knowledge management.
Recently
I've been experimenting with blogs,
since I'll be using them in my upcoming courses.
This
website serves as a place for me to keep track of recent ideas,
research, and information.
