London Trip of 2005-Second Session
By
Paula M. Cardwell
We represented Elon University very well;
No one was lost, forgotten or went to jail.
But we had a few moments, we must admit,
That gave Gerald Whittington many a fit.
The group of late nighters, who,
Usually came in before two.
The sauntering members lagging behind,
Individuals not getting quickly in line.
Those not watching as they traveled the streets,
Some switching or moving their seats.
His response of “Fill in the gap, gather round,
Be late and be left in this town.”
But what he usually would take to task
Were what we said or would sometimes ask.
“How many people are needed to blow those horns up there?
Can the Queen wear Depends instead of underwear?
About British TV, I agree with what you said.
But what’s wrong? Why are you turning so read?
Did Robin Hood take money from Peter to pay Paul?
Hillary, if you have problems, just give me a call.”
There’re several more situations that we can’t mention
Because it might cause some of us a lot more tension.
But we made friends, learned and had some fun,
And want to thank Elon, Chris and Gerald for all they’ve done.
Now, we have a bond that will last for years.
So, here’s to you: Be there happiness, success and love in your life. Cheers!
