Welcome to the Aquatic Botany Laboratory at Elon University. In this laboratory, students and I conduct basic and applied research on a number of aquatic plant related issues. These studies include understanding water relations and drought tolerance in obligate wetland plants, factors influencing carbon and nutrient metabolism in submersed aquatic macrophytes, phytoplankton population ecology, and cyanobacteria nutritional ecology and toxin production. |
