Courses taught
Computers and Teaching: CIS 220
CIS 220 is offered during Fall and Spring semesters and is intended for students planning to teach kindergarten through twelfth grade. Different sections of the class are taught by different professors, and as a result, course requirements may vary from section to section.
Education 211, School and Society, is a prerequisite course, and students should plan to take CIS 220 as soon as possible after completing EDU 211 and certainly prior to taking their first educational methods course.
The syllabus for the current semester's course (pdf) is available; however, the majority of course documents can be found on Blackboard or Livetext.
Instructional Technologies in the Classroom: MED 523
MED 523 is offered as an elective every other summer in Elon's M.Ed. program. Students are generally already practicing teachers who have returned to school for a graduate degree.
