Our third stop in Europe is Amsterdam. As a group, we'll visit the Anne Frank house, the Resistance Museum, and the Jewish Historical Museum, and go on a canal boat tour of the city. There will also be a free day for your own explorations. For art lovers there are the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum.
The
Flower Market is busy even in January. |

The Channels is a fascinating site with a virtual tour through the streets of Amsterdam. Also contains a guide to shops, eating establishments, and museums. Very hip.
TimeOut: Amsterdam is a site run by a British magazine group that publishes editions on various major cities. (See my London page for a link to the London edition.) Lots of good info on a wide range of topics.
The official page is maintained by the City of Amsterdam. All the usual tourist information, but also a series of beautiful (and informative) pages on architectural styles that offers a great introduction to the city.
The Van Gogh Museum site has info on the newly renovated museum.
The Anne Frank House is nicely reconstructed with exhibits and the original rooms.
USAToday Climate: Amsterdam has info on average/high/low temperature and precipitation.
